I will soon be creating a new organization/support group called PA (pinterest anonymous).
It will be for people who cannot control their addiction to pinterest and find it necessary to create almost EVERYTHING they see on it. lol
Here are some of the projects that I recently did thanks to pinterest. I added a little description of how i did it so that others could try their hand at it--i have no "in process" pictures because i didnt think to take any but hopefully you get the idea!
1. Red, White, and Blue Wreath
Like i said before-i am poorly prepared and do NOT have "in process" pictures but this is what i did:
*Bought 4 sheets of felt of each color, push pins (flat top-350), and a foam wreath base.
*Cut each sheet into 2x2 pieces (make sure they are close to the same size but dont stress about them being identical)
*fold each square in half, then in half again (so it looks like a little triangle)
*push the pin through the point of the triangle and pin it to the foam wreath.
*do this for whatever color you start with and then when your "stripe" is ideal for you move to the next color. Fluff them out as you go--whatever you "fluffiness" preference is.
*then when theres like 1/3 of the wreath left, do the blue!
*I then cut stars outta card stock paper and pinned them on as well. Make sure your red and white are equal size so it doesnt look funny and add a little ribbon on the back to hang it up with---or big ribbon if thats your style!
TADA! all done:)
2. Last name Framed Art!!
This one was probaly the easiest one ive done!!
bought 7 5x7 frames from
michaels (or if you already have them then even better) and then 7 sheets of scrapbooking paper that was similar
yet complementing and then spray painted the letters with red paint (2
coats plus a sealer)...cut the paper to fit the frames and then hot
glued the letters to the glass.
EASY RIGHT???
Well there are two of my (probable) favorites that I have recently done--Hope that if you choose to do them they turn out GREAT!!
I will try to update this more often now with projects that I am doing around the house:)
