Well it has been a while since I have wrote here...but I really am going to try and keep up this time.
Its been 3 1/2 months since I have wrote but it is about time that I checked in and caught you up.
since living in Alaska I have learned a few things:
1. Its freakin cold up here!!!
2. friends come and go
3. but true friends stick around
4. its never goodby--its always see you later
It has been 10 days since Tony flew out to Afghanistan and I can honestly say that I doing sooo much better that I ever expected. I honestly feel that I am so much stronger than I ever imagined. I feel prepared and independant and ready for anything. I feel that being in Alaska has really set a new tone for this deployment--there is no running home and there is no hiding under my blanket all day..why you ask? because I have a three year old that needs his mom. He needs someone to be strong for him. He needs someone to reassure him that life goes on and everything will be ok.
With that being said--I am already ABSOLUTELY AND COMPLETELY done with the pitty parties. I am through reading and listening to the "woe is me" stories...unfortunately if I deleted them all from my life I would literally be left with like 3 people, Matthew, and my dog (who needs xanax badly!!).
Happiness often depends upon ourselves.

I will close this with the promise to write again--the promise to rant and rave again soon--and the promise to be strong and show everyone else how it looks to put your big girl panties on and wear them with pride!!!!
You're so awesome! If there is anything you need let me or James know. Also we need to know what Matthew wants for Christmas.
